This is a surprising health food

This food is considered the #8 most nutritious foods in the world, and its going to surprise you because it goes against many popular beliefs.

Scientists studied 1000 different raw foods, to compile a list of top 100 most nutritious foods in the world. The list determined the ingredients that could give the best balance of your daily nutritional requirements. Based on this criteria, they were given a score. The higher the score, the more it can help you hit your daily nutritional needs.

Surprisingly #8 on the list is Pork fat. I know that must be shocking to you! But it makes total sense. Here’s why:

It contains B vitamins and minerals, and is more unsaturated than lamb or beef fat. In addition to this reason, pork lard when cooked with food contains no trans fat, and it has 60% monounsaturated fat that can lower the risk of heart disease.

From my own experiences, I personally eat pork almost everyday. And I will also cook with pork lard when I’m not using avocado oil. Culturally speaking, in Taiwan, pork is very commonly eaten. They also ban the use of ractopamine a growth-promoting feed additive, which can cause serious health issues (which is banned in 160 countries including the EU, and Japan, excluding the USA – though more US packers only process ractopamine-free pork).

Like always, It’s important to try things out for yourself to determine if something works for you.

The Shilin Cixian Temple is a historical site loca The Shilin Cixian Temple is a historical site located within Taipei’s famous Shilin Night Market!

Most people come to Shilin for the street food, but the food is only here because of this temple. Cixian Temple is the literal heart of the market. It’s been here since the 1800s and the stalls actually grew around it over time.

Look closely at the front: The left and right sides of the exterior were built by two different teams of master carvers competing to see who was better. That’s why the carvings on each side don’t perfectly match!

If you can’t tell art history was one of my favorite classes. 🤓
