About the Blogger

Hey! I’m Kelly, and I’m so happy you’re here. I’ve spent over 14 years in the health and fitness world as a certified nutrition coach and personal trainer, but this blog started from a simpler place: my love for writing and a desire to help women navigate real life—and more importantly, real health.

To me, being healthy is a major priority, but it has to coexist with finding joy and cultivating gratitude. I’m not about the extremes or the “all-or-nothing” mentality. I focus on sharing sustainable, actionable tools that actually work while you’re out there living your life. I’ve learned that the journey doesn’t have to be perfect, and it doesn’t have to look a certain way. It’s just about finding the right pace for you.

Wellness is a huge part of what I do, but my creative roots run deep—I actually used to be a fashion designer! Because of that, I love sharing a little bit of everything: from travel guides and skincare to style tips and personal growth. Life is about staying curious and sharing the things that make us feel good.

Whether you’re here for wellness advice or just some shopping inspiration, I’ve got you! I’m so glad you’re part of this community. Let’s stay connected: you can find me over on Instagram, Tiktok, and YouTube.

If you are looking for authentic, cozy Taiwanese c If you are looking for authentic, cozy Taiwanese comfort food, you need to add Huang Mama Rice Noodle Soup (黃媽媽米粉湯) to your Taipei food bucket list.

Start with their famous Rice Vermicelli (Mǐfěn / 米粉) served in a sweet, savory pork bone broth. They use thin noodles, and adding a splash of vinegar completely elevates the flavor profile.

Pair it with their classic pork cuts and fried tofu. I was impressed with how clean their meats were. They didn’t have any gamey taste. The winter melon tea is fantastic, it’s quite hard to find a good one in Taipei these days.

Things to know: Interim Dongmen Market, is currently in trial operations/ soft opening, ahead of the official grand opening on October 9th. The historic century-old Dongmen Market is being demolished in early 2027, so only 45 of the most famous heritage vendors got a spot in this clean, air-conditioned interim market. They will be operating at this temporary spot for the next 4 years before moving back to the rebuilt market.

I’m not usually a fan of Crème Brûlée, but Sophia I’m not usually a fan of Crème Brûlée, but Sophia happily surprised me! 🍮✨

Immediately, you can taste the quality ingredients. They don’t cut any corners. They use premium Madagascar vanilla beans in the custard, and fresh, farm-certified native eggs. It makes the custard so silky and rich without being overly sweet. 🤤 Their tarts are made from French Flour.

Their shop has gotten many awards through the years, including Taipei’s prestigious “Number One Market Stall” award. The owner actually started out selling these delicious desserts from a customized three-wheel bicycle on the streets before opening many store locations! 🚲🏆

They also do sell drinks, but we were way too full from lunch. But we always have room for desserts 😉

Desserts are made fresh daily, and tend to sell out. Make sure to go early.

Save this post for your next visit to Taipei’s Gongguan area! 👇

This was my first time visiting Keelung, Taiwan! I This was my first time visiting Keelung, Taiwan! It was a quick daytrip.

We took bus 1579, it was only 48 nt ($1.51 usd) round trip for (fare varies depending on where your leaving from).

I wanted to catch the last of Home, Eva Armisén exhibit at the Keelung museum of art! She’s a whimsical and colorful, Spanish painter, and I adore how fun, yet meaningful her work is, emphasizing on the beauty in the mundane.

I enjoyed the exhibit so much. And I’m glad I was able to catch it on its last weekend. It’s pure joy.

We didn’t really plan much. Besides eating the famous scallion pancakes. Theyre so addictive and only 20ntd ($0.63 usd) each. I really want to go back soon haha.

I didn’t do much else in research for food, so some of the other places I tried were only average. As you can tell from my face. Had to keep it real bc thats the truth when traveling you wont like everything you try.

Though the exception was the douha/tofu pudding, I’m very picky about it. But I loved it, and so unique bc you can add lemon into it and it tastes so refreshing.

There’s def a few places I didn’t manage to go to. But I’ll save it for another trip.

I’ve been using these TTM black charcoal sheet mas I’ve been using these TTM black charcoal sheet masks for years!! It’s a thick high quality with loads of serum that delivers the results you want. It cleans your pores and removes excess sebum without irritating or drying your skin out.

When I had acne I religiously used them almost everyday, and it kept my skin hydrated while getting rid of acne. It’s the same packaging in green.

I got this box at Costco. But they also sell smaller boxes at Watsons and Poya. The full Costco skincare haul is on my YT. This is not a sponsored post I only share things I genuinely love and use!

I don’t see enough Taiwanese brands being hyped up. If you want to see more comment and make sure to follow me @iamkellytang !
