The Personality Traits You NEED to Heal Autoimmune Disease

Heard “there’s nothing you can do” about your autoimmune disease? Think again.

The way many doctors talk about it feels incredibly disempowering, especially for women who are often dismissed or gaslit for years just to get a diagnosis. That narrative that says “you’re screwed, here’s these meds, good luck” is irresponsible.

From my personal experience and observation, I’ve come to understand that finding solutions for autoimmune healing often requires lighting a fire under ourselves. It’s about cultivating specific personality traits that empower us to challenge the status quo and truly find what works for us on the path to remission.

The Drive to Actually TRY:
From Waiting to Actively Seeking

This isn’t about waiting for magic; it’s about actively seeking. But there’s a way to do it that won’t drive you crazy – I’ve been there! It’s not always about frantic seeking; sometimes it’s knowing what you want and letting the answers come to you. This trait is about moving from passive hope to active pursuit, taking that crucial first step to explore solutions rather than just enduring symptoms.

Relentless Perseverance:
Embracing the Long Game of Healing

You keep going until you find your unique solution, no matter how long it takes. We tend to get really impatient (I know that was me, like King Julian asking “How long is this going to take?”). It truly does take time, and it’s not a one-time fix; you have to adapt things into your habits and lifestyle. True healing is a journey of consistent effort, learning from setbacks, and relentlessly moving forward, understanding that patience and adaptation are your greatest allies.

Open-Minded Exploration:
Trusting Intuition Over Profit-Driven Narratives

This is the willingness to try approaches even if they’re not widely “supported” yet. I love to research so many things, but I also stay open-minded because I know these industries can be manipulated to focus on profit over actually helping people get healthy. I won’t blindly go into something, but I will think about it and trust my intuition over just trying new things. It’s about discerning what resonates with your body and your goals, even if it falls outside the conventional medical box. But please continue to take your medications, and follow what your doctor suggest!

Take Back Your Power

It’s time to take back your power and redefine your healing journey. There’s a time to be complacent and there’s a time to take action, and with our health, we can’t just sit by and let our life go by.

The Shilin Cixian Temple is a historical site loca The Shilin Cixian Temple is a historical site located within Taipei’s famous Shilin Night Market!

Most people come to Shilin for the street food, but the food is only here because of this temple. Cixian Temple is the literal heart of the market. It’s been here since the 1800s and the stalls actually grew around it over time.

Look closely at the front: The left and right sides of the exterior were built by two different teams of master carvers competing to see who was better. That’s why the carvings on each side don’t perfectly match!

If you can’t tell art history was one of my favorite classes. 🤓
